Prayers being ended, the House was adjourned during Pleasure.
The House being resumed (the Peers being all in their Robes), the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod was commanded by the House to signify to the House of Commons, "That their Lordships desire them to come up to this House."
The Speaker with the House of Commons being come, the Lord Chancellor delivered his Majesty's Commission under the Great Seal of England to John Walker, Deputy to John Browne, Clerk of the Parliaments, who read the same publicly (every Commissioner present rising up in his Place when he was named); the Tenor of which Commission followeth:

Which Commission being read, the Lord Chancellor, Lord Privy Seal, Duke of Bucks, Duke Albemarle, the Lord Steward of His Majesty's Household, and the Lord Chamberlain of His Majesty's Household, went and placed themselves upon a Form set for that Purpose between the State and the Woolsack. And being so set (the rest of the Commissioners remaining in their Places, that Form being full).
Parliament prorogued.
