13 to 25 Benedict XIII. Anti-Pope

1408. (f. 8d.)
Whereas a canonry, and the prebend of Banchorydevenic, in Aberdeen, on its voidance by the death of Thomas de Edename, were conferred on James de Lindsay, under pretext of a reservation made to him by the pope, and whereas on his accepting the treasurership he resigned the said prebend, which John Barberii, M.A. student of canon law, obtained, and the said John doubts whether his acceptance of the same holds good, the value being 10l. of Scotch money; he prays for provision of the same anew, notwithstanding that he has the perpetual vicarage of Tarbas, in the same diocese, value 16l. of the said money, and by papal dispensation has provision of the precentorship of Ross, the said prebend having been occupied by Thomas Grenlaw under pretext of an expectation.

Richard therefore prays for provision of the same, whose value is 20 marks. Granted. Perpignan, 12 Kal. June, an. 15.

Granted. Perpignan, 8 Id. April, an. 15. Expedited 14 Kal. May.
