ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five; to meet on Wednesday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings.
Feilder, Dutchess of Somerset's Servant, arrested:
Baker and Jones sent for.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, shall attach the Bodies of Michaell Baker Bailiff, and Samuell Jones Plaintiff, for arresting and detaining in Prison the Body of George Feilder, a menial Servant of the Dutchess of Somersett, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, and forthwith bring them as Delinquents before the Lords in Parliament, to answer their said Contempts: And this to be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.
Pitcarne versus Russell.
Whereas an Order of the Third of June Instant was made, for staying of a Suit at Law, commenced by Charles Pittcarne, against one George Russell: The House was informed of a Mistake; the Suit being against Joice Russell, Executrix of Edward Russell Esquire deceased.
Which Alteration the House Agreed to.
Sir Al. Zouch & Ux. versus Bedingfield.
ORDERED, That the Cause of Sir Allan Zouch and Dame Katherine his Wife Plaintiffs, upon their Petition depending before their Lordships against Anne Bedingfeild, concerning a Decree in Chancery, shall be heard, at this Bar, on Tuesday the 30th of this Instant June, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning; at which Time both Parties are, with their Counsel and Witnesses (having timely Notice), to attend the said Hearing accordingly.
Feilder, Dutchess of Somerset's Servant, Privilege.
ORDERED, That George Feilder, a menial Servant of the Dutchess of Somersett, arrested and detained Prisoner in The Gate-house Westm. contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, shall be brought before their Lordships on Saturday the 27th of this Instant June, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, that such further Directions may be given therein as their Lordships shall think fit: And this to be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.
Crofts, Ld. Morley's Servant, Privilege.
ORDERED, That Mr. Crofts, avowed to be a menial Servant of the Lord Morley, being arrested and detained in Prison in The Compter in Woodstreat, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, shall be brought before the Lords in Parliament on Saturday the 27th of this Instant June, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, that such further Directions may be given therein as their Lordships shall think fit.
E. of Middlesex and E. of Bridgewater's Quarrel.
This Day the House resumed the Debate which was Yesterday, concerning the Business between the Earl of Bridgwater and the Earl of Midd. as it now lies before their Lordships, that so they may proceed to Judgement therein.
Judgement concerning it.
And, after Consideration thereof, this House ordered and adjudged:
"That both the Earl of Bridgwater and the Earl of Middlesex should have the Reprehension of this House, for their Offences committed against this House; and this to be given them at the Bar, standing.
2. "That both of their Lordships should make their humble Submission to this House, standing in their Places.
3. "That the Earl of Middlesex should make an Acknowledgement to the Earl of Bridgwater, both of them standing in their Places."
And the Lord Privy Seal, the Earl of St. Albans, the Lord Lucas, and the Lord Ashley, are appointed to consider and draw up in Writing, in what Words the said Reprehension, Submission, and Acknowledgement shall be made, and offer the same to the Consideration of the House.
Peers to deliver Accompts into the Exchequer upon Honour.
Upon Report made from the Lords Committees for Privileges, concerning the Manner of Peers accompting to His Majesty, referred to them by this House:
It is ORDERED and Declared, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, upon any Accompt to be made in His Majesty's Court of Exchequer, by any Peer of this Kingdom, in his own Person, the said Accompt shall be taken upon his Honour only; but when any Peer shall accompt in the said Court of Exchequer by his Servants or Agents employed by him, the said Accompt shall be taken upon the Oaths of such Servants or Agents respectively.
