This Day, in regard of the ill Health of the Lord Chancellor, the Lord Privy Seal sat Speaker.
Challoner's Bill.
The Earl of Bolingbrooke reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill concerning Mr. Challoner; and thinks it fit to pass as it is, without any Amendment."
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Edward Challoner Esquire to make Provision for Anne his Wife and his Younger Children."
The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Fees upon Bishops Translation and Lords Descents.
Upon the Motion of the Lord Bishop of Winton, desiring the Direction of this House, "Whether every Bishop being translated to another Bishopric, and every Temporal Lord being created to a higher Temporal Honour, or to whom it descends, is to pay Fees again to the Officers of this House, according to the Rates mentioned in the Roll of Fees heretofore allowed of by the House of Peers:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration hereof is referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, whose Lordships are to report their Opinions concerning the same to this House.
