PRAYERS.

Marquis of Worcester's Water Engine Bill.

The Earl of North'ton reported, "That the Committee to whom the Bill for the Water-commanding Engine was re-committed, have met, and have drawn up a Proviso, which the Committee thinks fit to be added to that Bill, and offers the same to the Consideration of the House."

The said Proviso was read Twice, and Agreed to; and it is ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed, with the said Proviso.

Message to H. C. for a Conference about the Petition against Priests and Jesuits.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Bennett and Sir Justinian Lewyn:

To desire a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, concerning the last Conference about Jesuits and Priests.

Heads for it.

ORDERED, That the same Committee that reported the last Conference with the House of Commons do manage this Conference; and let the House of Commons know, that this House agrees with them in all the Alterations and Amendments (brought up at the last Conference) contained in the Petition concerning Jesuits and Priests, which is to be presented to the King; and that their Lordships do intend to send to the King, to know what Time He will please to appoint both Houses to wait upon Him; and then their Lordships will acquaint the House of Commons with the same.

Bill against destroying Wood:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the Punishment of unlawful cutting or stealing of Wood, or spoiling of Wood and Underwood, and Destroyers of young Timber Trees."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following:

Copleston's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for vesting certain Lands of John Copleston Gentleman, in Sir Francis Vincent Knight and Baronet, Thomas Waldesgrave Esquire, Charles Cornwallis Esquire, Thomas Westlake Gentleman, and their Heirs, to sell, for Payment of his Debts."

Application to the King, to know when He will be attended with the Petition.

ORDERED, That the Duke of Albemarle and the Lord Chamberlain are appointed to attend the King, to know what Time His Majesty will please to appoint both Houses of Parliament to wait upon Him, to present unto Him the Petition against Jesuits and Romish Priests.

Punishment of the Republican Party.

ORDERED, That To-morrow Morning this House do take into Consideration the applying of some safe Remedy for the Discovery and Punishment of the Republican Party.

Vavasor and Clark, Delinquents about Axholme, to be continued in Custody.

Whereas Thomas Vavasor and Peter Clark, now in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, were this Day brought to the Bar as Delinquents, who, with Two and Twenty others formerly in Custody, did disobey an Order of the Thirteenth of May last past, by going out of Town, and not giving Security to appear within Ten Days after Warning, nor then paid the Fees to the several Officers of this Court according to the said Order; and being heard this Day what they could say, they could give no Satisfaction in that Behalf:

It is ORDERED, That the said Vavasor and Clarke are hereby continued under Restraint, until due Obedience be given unto the said Order; and herein the Serjeant is to discharge his Duty, as the contrary will be answered to this House.
