Peck's Bill.

The Lord Arundell reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill to enable Thomas Peck Esquire to sell Land, for Payment of his Debts; and, having heard all Parties concerned, they think it fit to pass, with some Amendments:"

Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act enabling Thomas Pecke Esquire, to sell a Manor and some Lands, in the County of Norff. for Payment of Debts."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Proviso for the Clergy that will be deprived by the Bill for Uniformity of Worship.

The Earl of Anglesey reported, "That the Committee have considered of a Proviso, that such Persons as are put out of their Livings by virtue of the Act of Uniformity, may have such Allowances out of their Livings, for their Subsistence, as His Majesty shall think fit."

The said Proviso was read; and, after some Debate, a few Alterations made therein.

And the Question being put, "Whether this Proviso, with the Alterations, shall stand in the Bill?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill for Uniformity of Public Worship.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the Uniformity of Public Prayers, and Administration of Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies, and for establishing the Form of making, ordaining, and consecrating, Bishops, Priests, and Deacons, in the Church of England."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Alterations and Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, To send for a Conference with the House of Commons To-morrow Morning, and communicate this Bill with the Alterations and Amendments to them.

Message from H. C. for a Conference concerning the Bill for repairing Streets in London, &c.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Howard and others:

To desire a Conference, concerning the Bill for mending the Highways and Streets.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That this House will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber.

The Lord Chancellor, the Lord Chamberlain, and the Earl of Portland, were appointed to report this Conference.

Marq. of Winton's Bill.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Marquis of Winton's Bill do meet To-morrow in the Afternoon.

Admiralty Jurisdiction Bill.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill concerning the Admiralty do meet To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure; and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.

ORDERED, That the Report of the aforesaid Conference shall be made To-morrow Morning.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Robinson and others; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Regulation of the Pilchard Fishing, in the Counties of Devon and Cornwall;" to which they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Crouch versus Atkinson, in Error.

Whereas the Record upon a Writ of Error, between Crouch Plaintiff and Atkinson Defendant, was ordered and adjudged, on Monday last, to be remitted, and the Judgement in the King's Bench affirmed; and this House taking into Consideration the Trouble and Charge the Defendant hath been vexatiously put unto by the Plaintiff, without just Cause, who never appeared in this Cause, to prosecute the said Writ of Error, since the bringing in of the Record:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Plaintiff shall forthwith pay unto the said Defendant the Sum of Ten Pounds Costs.
