A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Sir Toby (fn. 2) Nolridge:
on the Bill concerning Quakers.
To desire a present Free Conference, in the Painted Chamber, concerning the late Conference touching the Bill against Quakers.
The Messengers return with this Answer:

That the House of Commons will give a Free Conference, as is desired.
The Lord Chancellor and the Lord Privy Seal are appointed to manage this Conference.
The House of Commons being in the Painted Chamber, the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.
Adjourn.
