Admiralty Jurisdiction Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for settling the Jurisdiction of the Court of Admiralty."

Message from H. C. for a Conference about the Bill for Execution of attainted Persons.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Seymour and others:

To desire a Conference, upon the Matter of the last Conference.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That the Lords have considered of their Message, and will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber.

The Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chamberlain were appointed by the House to report this Conference.

Tenants of Clitherow, Bill.

ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill concerning the Honour of Cletheroe shall meet To-morrow in the Afternoon.

The Lords went to the Conference, and the House was adjourned during Pleasure.

The Conference being ended, the House was resumed.

Report of the Conference about the Bill for Execution of attainted Persons.

The Lord Chancellor reported the Effect of the Conference; which was, "That their Lordships desiring, at a Conference, to know of the House of Commons Reasons why Six Names were left out of the Bill for Execution of certain Persons attainted of High Treason; the Commons say, it is their Desire to keep all good Correspondence with their Lordships: But they do not find any Precedents that any Reasons have been given by the Commons in the like Case, where there have been no Alterations made in a Bill, and offered to the Commons; therefore cannot tell how to offer any in this Case."

E. of Derby's Bill.

ORDERED, That the Earl of Derbye's Bill shall be read the Third Time on Thursday Morning next.

Bill to confirm Three Acts.

The House was adjourned into a Committee of the whole House, to consider what Way to proceed in the Bill concerning Ministers.

And, after Debate, the House was resumed; and the Lord Chamberlain reported to the House, "That the Committee of the whole House, taking into Consideration the Bill for confirming of Three Acts, are of Opinion, That the said Three Bills be confirmed as they were formerly passed, without any Alterations; to which Purpose, the said Committee have made some Alterations in this Bill, which are offered to the Consideration of this House."

Then the said Alterations were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming Three Acts, therein particularly mentioned."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Alterations now read, shall pass."

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That this Bill, with the Alterations, be delivered to the House of Commons, at a Conference To-morrow Morning.

L. Windsor, Privilege, in Marriott and Cox's Suit against him.

Upon the Petition of Thomas Lord Windsor; complaining, "That Thomas Marriott Esquire, and one Mr. Cox, have brought Twelve several Writs of Ejectione Firmæ against the Tenants of the said Lord Windsor, to gain the Possession of Eight Yard Lands and a Half, Part of the Manor of Church Honyborne, in the County of Worcester, this Hillary Term, from the Petitioner and his Tenants, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the quiet Possession of the said Lands and Premises be, and shall be, held and enjoyed by the said Lord Windsor and his Tenants, during the Privilege of this Parliament, and all Proceedings to be staid: And hereof the said Marriott and Cox, and all others concerned, or any Ways claiming under them, or either of them, touching the Premises, are to take Notice, and yield Obedience hereunto, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

Woodman versus Bie, in Error.

ORDERED, That the Errors between Woodman Plaintiff and Bie Defendant shall be argued, at this Bar, on Saturday the 15th of this Instant February, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning; whereof the Plaintiff is hereby to have timely Notice; and then both Parties are to attend, with their Counsel, accordingly.
