His Lordship agrees that if the Bank of England will advance to the Treasurer of the Ordnance the sum of 33500l. on the Land Tax tallies anno 1708 in his hands the same shall be repaid out of money which shall be brought into the Exchequer for the fifth payment to be made by the East India Company on or before the 12th January next & that the Bank shall be allowed interest at 5 per cent from the day of advancing money thereon to the time of their said repayment. |

Sir Henry Furnese agrees to advance on the Land Tax tallies [anno 1708] in Mr. Howe's hands the sum of 31629l. 9. 10 ½: to be applied to the several uses as in his [the said Howe's] memorial [for the Guards & Garrisons as read this day]. |
