I have read to the Lord Treasurer your memorial of the 2nd inst. concerning the arrears of the land revenues of Wales which were due and owing at Michaelmas 1698 and the schedules thereof as by the warrant of 1702 June 24. His Lordship is very sensible that the Receivers or sub-collectors thereof may before this have received many of the arrears so depending and set in super on accounts which terminated at Michaelmas 1698, and that it will be of ill consequence for the tenants to be troubled again for such paid arrears. |
You are to enter on the schedules all supers that have been so answered. Thereupon his lordship can give order without groundless vexation to the tenants. Ibid.
