PRAYERS, by Dr. Hodges.

Bill for regulating the Navy.

The Lord Steward reported the Bill for establishing Articles and Orders for the Navy, from the Committee, with some Alterations and Amendments, which are offered to the Consideration of this House.

The said Alterations and Amendments were read Twice, and Agreed; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with these Alterations and Amendments.

Anabaptists and Good Christians heard.

This Day the House heard the Anabaptists, and those that call themselves Good Christians, what they could offer to this House as their Desires.

And upon Consideration thereof:

It is ORDERED, That on Tuesday next this House will proceed in the Report of the Committee concerning the Penal Laws; and when that Business is determined, then to read the Act of Uniformity, brought from the House of Commons.

Message to H. C. with Bills.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Doctor Childe and Doctor Wolsey:

To deliver to them Two Bills, which have passed this House, and desire Concurrence therein:

1. A Bill for naturalizing the Countess of Shre'sbury and Francis Brudnell.

2. A Bill for enclosing a Piece of Ground at Parsons Greene.

3. To let them know, that this House agrees with them in the Alterations which they sent up, in the Bill concerning the Earl of Dorsett.

Marquis of Winton's Bill.

The Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench, in Pursuance of the Order of this House, reported, "That he and the rest of the Judges have considered of the Bill concerning the Marquis of Winton to have Satisfaction and Reparation out of Mr. Wallop's Estate; and it is the Opinion of himself, and all the rest of the Judges, That the Body of the said Bill is against the Act of Oblivion and Indemnity; and gave Reasons for it."

Hereupon the Question being put, "Whether this Bill concerning the Marquis of Winchester, and the Lord St. John his Son, brought up from the House of Commons, shall be cast out of this House?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

D. of Richmond's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the settling the Estate of James late Duke of Richmond & Lenox, Mary Dutchess Dowager of Richmond and Lenox, and the Lady Mary her Daughter, and the Friends of the said Lady Mary."

Sir Edward Turner et al. about Reversions in London.

ORDERED, That the Parties whom it concerns shall have a Copy of the Answer of the Lord Mayor and Common Council of London, concerning the Reversions of Offices in the City of London, brought into this House by Order.

Weavers, &c. of Worcester, Bill.

The Earl of Dorsett reported from the Committee, the Bill concerning the Corporations of the City of Worcester, as fit to pass, without any Alterations.

Hereupon it is ORDERED, That this Bill be read the Third Time To-morrow Morning, the First Business.

E. of Cleveland's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Confirmation and Explanation of an Act for the settling of some of the Manors and Lands of the Earl of Cleveland in Trustees, to be sold, for the satisfying of the Debts of the said Earl, and of Thomas Lord Wentworth."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following:

ORDERED, That some of His Majesty's Counsel, as also of the Counsel of the City of London, and some of the Justices of the several Precincts mentioned in a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Relief and Employment of the Poor, and Punishment of Vagrants and other disorderly Persons, within the Cities of London and Westm. and the Liberties thereof, and the Precincts usually mentioned in the Bills of Mortality," be, and are hereby, appointed to attend the Lords Committees to whom the said Bill stands committed, on Saturday the 13th of July Instant, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings, in order to the fitting of the said Bill to be reported to this House.
