E. of Cleveland's Case.

The Lord Fynch reported the Case of the Earl of Cleveland from the Committee.

And this House confirmed the same.

Marq of Winton's Bill.

The Earl of Pembrooke reported from the Committee, the Bill concerning the Marquis of Winton, as fit to pass, without any Alterations.

Hereupon the House ordered that the said Bill be ingrossed.

Ordered, That the Lord Steward be added to the Committee for Petitions and Privileges.

E. of Derby's Case.

Ordered, That the Business concerning the Earl of Derby, which (fn. 2) should have been taken into Consideration this Day, is deferred till this Day Sevennight; and in case the Act of Indemnity do pass in the mean Time, yet the same shall be no Prejudice to the Earl of Derby, concerning this Business.

Bill of Indemnity.

The House was adjourned into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed further in the Consideration of the Bill of Indemnity.

The House was resumed.

It is Ordered, That this House do proceed in the Bill of Indemnity To-morrow Morning, where they left this Day, the First Business.

The King to be acquainted with what Sums of Monies are remitted in it.

Ordered, That the Lord Chamberlain is appointed by this House, to acquaint His Majesty with the great Sums of Money Arrears of the Court of Wards, which are mentioned in the Act of Indemnity; and to receive His Majesty's Pleasure therein.

Message from H. C. with Votes; and to remind the Lords of an Order.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Annesley, &c.; who brought up divers Votes for paying Twenty Thousand Pounds, which formerly was appointed for His Majesty's Reception.

2. To put their Lordships in Mind of an Order formerly brought up, concerning the Marshal's Men and Mr. Pecke.

That this House will take into Consideration this Message, and send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Bill for the E. of Cleveland to settle the Manors of Hackney, &c. in Trustees Hands.

Upon the Report from the Lords Committees to whom the Petition of the Earl of Cleveland and the Lord Wentworth his Son, concerning the Manors of Hackney and Stepney, formerly mortgaged for the securing of several Debts due from the said Earl of Cleveland and Lord Wentworth, was referred:

It is Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Cleveland and Lord Wentworth shall or may bring into this House, a Bill to be passed as an Act of Parliament, for the settling of the said Manors of Hackney and Stepney in the hands of Trustees, therein to be named, for the satisfying of all Debts due from the said Earl of Cleveland and Lord Wentworth, by Sale or otherwise; and the Overplus of the said Manors (if any be) to remain to the Earl of Cleveland and Lord Wentworth, and their Heirs for ever.

Votes for 20,000£ to defray the Expences of His Majesty's Reception.

"Resolved, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled,"

"That Twenty Thousand Pounds, Part of the Thirty Thousand Pounds assigned for repairing of His Majesty's Houses, and making necessary Preparations for His Majesty's Reception, be charged on the Ordinance for Three Months Assessment, commencing the 24th of June next."

"Resolved, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament,"

"That Interest be allowed and paid, for so much of the Twenty Thousand Pounds formerly charged on the Ordinance for Three Months Assessments, for the preparing of Requisites for His Majesty's Reception, as is or shall be advanced by any Person or Persons upon the Credit of the said Ordinance, after the Rate of Six Pounds per Cent.; and that the Chamberlain of the City of London be, and is hereby, authorized and required, out of the Monies coming in upon the said Ordinance, to repay to the Persons that shall advance any Part thereof, the several and respective Sums that shall be so advanced, together with Interest, after Six per Cent. from the Time it hath been, or shall be, so advanced and paid in to the said Chamberlain, to the Time the same shall be re-paid."
