This Day Charles Duke of Southampton and Thomas Duke of Leeds took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statute.
Atkins, Leave for a Bill.
Upon reading the Petition of Richard Atkins Esquire, Son and Heir of Sir Edward Atkins Knight, Serjeant at Law, deceased, and Mary Wife of the said Richard Atkins, Daughter and Heir of Sir Thomas Kinsey Knight, also deceased; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for vesting and settling certain Manors and Lands in South Pickenham, and other Places in the County of Norfolk; in Trustees, to be fold; and for laying out the Monies in the Purchase of other Manors or Lands, to be settled to the same Uses:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.
Kirkby versus Ormsby.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Temperance Kirkby Spinster, Executrix of the last Will and Testament of Dame Jane Ormsby deceased, Relict of Sir Edward Ormsby, formerly of the Kingdom of Ireland, Knight, deceased; from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer in Ireland, the Fourth Day of December last, on the Behalf of Gilbert Ormsby Esquire; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree, so far as it concerns the Petitioner:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Gilbert Ormsby may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Eleventh Day of April next; and that all Proceedings be stayed in the mean Time.
