A Revocation of Sir George Treby's Commission for Speaker was read, and is as follows; (videlicet,)

Commission for Sir George Treby to be Speaker, revoked.

"William the Third, by the Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, &c. To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting. Whereas, by Our Letters Patents under Our Great Seal of England, bearing Date at Westminster, the Twenty-eighth Day of September last past, We did constitute, authorize, and appoint, Our Trusty and Well-beloved Sir George Treby Knight, Chief Justice of Our Court of Common Pleas at Westminster, to supply the Room and Place of Lord Chancellor, in the Upper House of Parliament, during the Absence of Our Right Trusty and Right Well-beloved Counsellor John Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, Lord High Chancellor of England, and to do and execute divers Powers in Our said Letters Patents contained and specified, as by Our said Letters Patents more at large do appear: We, nevertheless, for certain weighty Causes and Considerations Us especially moving in that Behalf, have revoked, determined, and made void, and, by these Presents, do revoke, determine, and make void, Our said Letters Patents, and all Things therein contained. In Witness whereof, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patents.

"Witness Ourself, at Westminster, the Twentyeighth Day of February, in the Twelfth Year of Our Reign.

"Per ipsum Regem, propria Manu Signat.

"Chute."

Then a Commission was read, for appointing John Earl of Bridgewater Speaker, and is as follows; (videlicet,)

Commission for Earl of Bridgewater to be Speaker.

"William the Third, by the Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, &c. To Our Right Trusty and Right Wellbeloved Cousin and Counsellor John Earl of Bridgewater, Greeting. Know ye, that We, trusting in your approved Fidelity, Wisdom, and Discretion, have constituted, named, and appointed, and by these Presents do constitute, name, and authorize you, from Time to Time, to use and supply the Room and Place of Lord Chancellor, in the Upper House of Parliament, amongst the Lords Spiritual and Temporal there assembled, during the Absence of Our Right Trusty and Right Well-beloved Counsellor John Lord Sommers Baron of Evesham, Our Chancellor of England, from his accustomed Place in Our said Upper House of Parliament; and then and there to do and execute all such Things which Our Chancellor of England, using and supplying the said Room and Place, should or might do in that Behalf: Wherefore We will and command you the said John Earl of Bridgewater to attend and execute the Premises with Effect; and these Our Letters Patents shall be your sufficient Warrant and Discharge for the same in every Behalf. The Lord Jeffreys reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Ship Martha of Margam to trade as a free Ship," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Late Bishop of St. David's, Writ of Error:

The Lord Chief Justice of His Majesty's Court of King's Bench having brought into this House a Writ of Error, at the Prosecution of Thomas late Bishop of St. David's:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock, this House will hear Counsel, to this Point only, "Whether the Writ of Error be properly brought in this Case;" and not to the Merits.

Writs of Error, Committee to consider of Methods of bringing in.

Lords Committees appointed to inspect the Journals, as to the Methods of bringing and delivering Writs of Error into this House from the Courts below; and report their Opinion to this House.

Mason versus Nugent.

Whereas there is an Appeal depending in this House, wherein Robert Mason is Appellant, and Thomas Nugent Esquire, commonly called Earl of Westmeath, Respondent:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Twelfth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Coote versus Langham:

After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition and Appeal of Colonel Richard Coote, complaining of several Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, in the Court of Chancery in Ireland, of the Thirtieth of June last, the Tenth of July last, the Thirteenth of July last, and the Seven and Twentieth of October last, on the Behalf of Joseph Langham, Elizabeth Lady Dowager of Shelborne, James Howison, James Barlow, and Samuel Vaughan; and praying the Reversal of the said Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings; as also upon the Answers of the said Joseph Langham, Elizabeth Lady Dowager of Shelborne, James Howison, James Barlow, and Samuel Vaughan, put in thereunto:

Judgement affirmed.

After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Richard Coote shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, therein complained of, shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed.

Dutchess of Norfolk's Witnesses to attend.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Alexander Herman, Peter Strange, Daniel Sheldon, John Gill, Maurice Nugent, Francis Huddlestone, Elian Mumfort, Eliz.
