This Day Thomas Earl of Sussex took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the settling of the Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, late of Robert Merefeild and John Merefeild, Esquires, deceased; and for ascertaining the Proportions between the Widow of the said Robert and his surviving Children."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Upon reading the Petition of Bluet Wallop Esquire, John Wallop, and Robert Wallop, Infants, all under the Age of Sixteen Years, by Alice Wallop Widow, their Mother and Guardian; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the vesting a Power in Trustees, to sell the Twelfth Part of the Fee and Inheritance of certain Manors and Land, in the Counties of Devon, Dorset, and Somerset; and to employ the Monies raised by such Sale in the Purchase of other Lands, to be settled to the same Uses:

Scotch Settlement at Darien.
ORDERED, That the further Consideration of the Matter relating to the Scotch Settlement at Darien shall be resumed on Thursday the Eighth Day of February next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Clayton versus Clayton.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Clayton, Executor of Dame Mary Clayton, who was Executrix of Sir Jasper Clayton, from Part of an Order made in the Court of Chancery, the Tenth of June, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, and from a subsequent Order of the Three and Twentieth of December last, on the Behalf of Prudence Clayton; and praying, "That they may be reversed:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Prudence Clayton may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and she is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Fifth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
