Upon reading the Petition of Charles Lord Mohun; praying, "That he may be tried; and that he is ready to surrender himself:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Charles Lord Mohun do surrender himself to the Gentlemen Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Savery's Invention for raising Water, &c. Bill for Encouragement of.

The Earl of Bradford reported His Majesty's Answer to the Address, concerning Forts and Ships, as followeth; (videlicet,)

"I return My Thanks to the Lords, for their Address; in which they express so much Concern for the Safety of My Person, and the Security of the Kingdom. I think the Services which they mention are very necessary to be done; and I shall be very glad to be enabled by Parliament, to see the same effectually performed."

The Lord Jeffreys reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to sell Part of the Estate of George Scott Esquire, to pay Debts, and raise Portions for his Brothers and Sister, and to settle other Part of his Estate," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Dighton versus Greenville, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Bernard Greenville; praying the Hearing of the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Christopher Dighton is Plaintiff, and the Petitioner Defendant, may be put off for Two or Three Days:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House will hear the Errors argued thereupon on Friday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and no other Business to intervene.

Proceedings upon the Judgement, Ulster Society versus Bp. of Derry, Letter from Lords Justices in Ireland, about.

The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That he had received a Letter from the Lords Justices in Ireland, in Answer to his Letter to them by Order of this House, the Fourteenth of February last, to desire an Account from them of what hath been done in Ireland, in Pursuance to the Order, Judgement, and Declaration of this House, of the Four and Twentieth of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, in the Case of the Society, London, and the Bishop of Derry."

Memorandum, This Letter is entered at the End of the Book (fn. 1).

Which Letter being read, the following Order was made; (videlicet,)

L. Chancellor to write again to the Lords Justices.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Chancellor do write again to the Lords Justices in Ireland; to let them know the House is not satisfied with their Answer; but desires a particular Account of what hath passed in Ireland relating to the Society, London, and Bishop of Derry, since the Order, Judgement, and Declaration of this House of the Four and Twentieth of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight."

Woodman versus Barton.

Upon reading some Days since the Petition of Joshua Woodman, praying an Explanation of a Judgement of this House, of the Fourteenth of January One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-one, wherein Amy Barton Widow, George Willoughby and Joanna his Wife, William Taylor and Margaret his Wife, were Appellants, and Joshua Woodman the Petitioner Respondent, as to One particular Point, of making some Order for Relief of the Creditors of Frances Dennis Widow:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Amy Barton and others may have a Copy of the said Petition; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Tuesday the Eight and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Owen versus Saunders, in Error.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, by Counsel, at the Bar, (fn. 2) wherein Phillip Owen is Plaintiff, and Thomas Saunders Defendant, on Monday the Third Day of April next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Act to restore Blackwell Hall Market, Bill to render more effectual.

After hearing Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the making more effectual an Act, intituled, An Act to restore the Market at Blackwell Hall to the Clothiers, and for regulating the Factors there."

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preventing irregular Proceedings of Sheriffs and other Officers, in making the Returns of Members chosen to serve in Parliament.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
