Messages from H. C. with Bills.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Bevill Granville and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to naturalize Isaac Gouyquett de St. Eloy;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir John Thorold and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to naturalize William Lloyd, Cornelius de Witt, and Godfrey Lloyd;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Hammond and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of some Part of the Estate of Sir Thomas Darcey, deceased, for Payment of Debts;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Conference on the Bill to prevent the distilling of Corn:

The Commons being come to the Conference; the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Rochester reported, "That they had attended the Conference; and the Commons had agreed to the Lords Amendments made to the Bill, intituled, An Act to prohibit the excessive distilling of Spirits and Low Wines from Corn, and against the exporting of Beer and Ale, and to prevent Frauds in Distillers, except the Proviso marked (B.); and gave their Reasons for it."

Lords do not insist on their Proviso:

Upon Consideration whereof, the House agreed, not to insist on the said Proviso.

Message to H. C. to acquaint them with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Richard Holford and Mr. Pitt:

To acquaint them, that the Lords do not insist on the said Proviso.

Ly. Say and Seal versus Fiennes:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition of Katherine Viscountess Dowager Say and Seal, complaining of some undue Proceedings of Mr. Finnes and others, since the Death of her Husband William late Viscount Say and Seal, in relation to some Parts of his Real and Personal Estate; and praying Relief therein:

Petition dismissed.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition of the said Viscountess shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.

Adjourn.
