Royal warrant dated "at our court at Dieren" to the Clerk of the Signet for a privy seal to grant and release to Edward, Earl of Jersey the plate which was delivered to him out of the Jewel House by indenture dated 1697 April 12 as then an Ambassador and Plenipotentiary for the Peace, being 5701 ounces of white plate and 1192 ounces of gilt plate. Same to Mr. Blathwayte. On Col. Codrington's arrival he mustered the above Col. Norton's Company and found it to consist of only 25 miserable old decrepit fellows in rags, not able to stand under their arms, some [of them] 30 years in service and few less than 12 or 15 and that Col. Norton had mustered several of his own servants and other people that did no duty. Please acquaint the King herewith and with my Lords' opinion that when a Regiment arrives in those Islands this Company may be broke into that Regiment if there are any serviceable men in it.

Treasury warrant to the Customs Commissioners to pay 1440l. 2s. 2d. to Sir Thomas Cook for drawback on pepper exported, bought by him from the Old East India Company on the 5th Oct. 1692 and by him shipped outwards for the Straits by certificate and cocquet as the law directs but afterwards withdrawn from shipment and sold in Nov. 1692 to Mr. Gospright and Mr. Rudge "reserving the drawback to himself as is usual amongst merchants" and the said purchasers removed the parcels to fresh ships (viz. from the Union frigate to respectively the Three Brothers and the Lady Aparition) and the old cocquet was endorsed accordingly. Treasury warrant to the Customs Commissioners to permit the Customs free export to Morocco (Barbary) of goods detailed (20,000 gunlocks, 18,000 barrels of gunpowder, 16 bales of English broad cloth, 6 boxes of China, 2 boxes of glass, 2 great looking glasses, several clocks and watches, pieces of amber, ambergrease, some pearl knives, brocade silks to the value of 370l., 2 glass lanthornes) "being to be exchanged for English captives in the dominions of the Emperor of Morocco."
