July 18/29. Royal warrant dated at the Hague to the Lords Justices of Ireland to pay 3000l. to the Earl of Rochester, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, as royal bounty for his equipage and transportation thither. Out Letters (Ireland) VIII, p. 132.
Same to same to insert on the Irish Establishment the annuities of 400l. for Thomas Knightley and 200l. for Katherine Knightley his daughter for her maintenance and education from June 24 last during pleasure: being a re-establishment of annuities formerly granted. Ibid., p. 133.
Same to same to insert on the Civil List of Ireland an annuity or yearly pension of 400l. to Katherine Puissar as from Lady day last during pleasure: in consideration of the services of her late husband. Ibid., p. 134.
Same to same to release Nicholas Green of Cork and to discharge him and his sureties from all offences relating to his ship James which was freighted on the King's account with provisions and was carried to France without his knowledge: he being a firm Protestant and as soon as our Forces were landed in 1690 in Cork harbour he joined them and guided them over that part of the sea which encompassed the East Marsh adjoining the city, whereupon the Garrison immediately capitulated; and further he brought in several proclaimed traitors and Tories who suffered punishment for their crimes: and further he was acquitted of the charge of high treason for the carrying of the said provisions into France. Treasury reference to the King's Remembrancer of the petition of Lady Diana Howard, widow of Thomas Howard late one of the four Tellers of the Exchequer, shewing that the 116,505l. 8s. 10¾d. of cash remaining in her late husband's office is paid over to Lord Fitzharding's office: therefore praying a discharge of her husband's security. Royal warrant dated "at our Court at the Hague" to the Attorney or Solicitor General for a great seal for a grant to Sir Roger Mostyn bart. of the office of Constable of Flint Castle with the fee of 10l. per an.; and the office of Keeper of the Gaol of the Castle of Flint with the fee of 6l. 1s. 8d. per an.; and the office of Comptroller of the Records within the Counties of Chester and Flint and Comptroller of the Pleas, Fines and Amerciaments of North Wales in the County of Carmarthen. Money warrant for 201l. 8s. 0d. to John Anstis and Joseph Taylor, Attorney at law, who were nominated by the Committee of the House of Commons to draw up the articles of impeachment against William, Earl of Portland and the other impeached Lords, viz. to be agents for preparing matters for the Committee in the prosecution of the said impeachments: being for a bill of their charges in the said service. Royal warrant dated "at our Court at the Hague" to the Lords Justices, Ireland, to pay 6l. per man for remounting the 2 Regiments of Ecklin and Cuningham and for the 2 Companies to be added to said Cuningham's Regiment, including the money in the hands of the Paymaster General arisen by the sale of the horses of said 2 Regiments when they were unmounted: it being the King's intention that they be remounted. Same to Lady Falkland. The accounts to 1682 Oct. 1 of your late husband as Treasurer of the Navy were delivered to the Auditors about three years since and sent back to the Navy Commissioners for adjustment of the voluntary charge but are not yet returned to the Auditors nor are the later accounts yet perfected. Please take effectual care herein as their passing was intended when the King at your request discharged part of the said Lord's estate about five years since. Ibid, p. 368.

(1) Mr. Mollyneux late Receiver for Co. Lancs. is not to be prosecuted so long as he makes his monthly payments.
(2) No process against John Mason, late same for Cambridge and Ely, if he pay by Michaelmas term next.
(3) Process against Mr. Cobb late same for Southampton if he do not pay by same date.
(4) Process on Mr. Spendelow late same for Stafford.
(5) If Mris. Williamson pay in 3044l. 4s. 11d. within 28 days my Lords will pay her 1500l. out of other money in part of her husband's rewards: if not, process to issue.
