to be 100,000l., 31,911l. 14s. 10d. and 97,784l. 10s. 0d. or in all
229,776l. 4s. 10d. |

In accordance with the directions of the said Act therefore, money
orders are hereby to be drawn for paying the said 100,000l. to the
Bank of England; the said 31,911l. 14s. 10d. to Sir Robert Howard
Auditor of the Receipt [to be employed by him so as] to complete the
satisfaction of the said arrears of annuities payable out of the said
2–7ths; and the said 97,784l. 10s. 0d. to Richard Taylor as imprest
to complete the satisfaction of the Lottery tickets payable out of
the said Salt Duties within said period. |

The abovesaid money orders are to be registered on the Register
appointed by the abovesaid Act next after 850,000l. loans as therein
and are to be accordingly paid without interest as the Act directs. |

Furthermore divers orders have been drawn and registered on the
Salt Duties on account of the abovesaid arrears to wit for 100,000l.
to the Bank of England; for 20,000l. to William Burton for arrears
of annuities on the 2–7ths; and for 120,000l. to William Knight for
arrears on the Salt Lottery tickets; no part of which orders or the
interest thereon has hitherto been satisfied. The said orders are
hereby to be taken in and vacated, with the tallies and foils or counter
tallies thereof and effectual entries or memoranda thereof are to be
made in the records of the Receipt. |

Treasury warrant to the Customs Commissioners to permit the
wines of James de Peygrove as follows to be condemned on an
information in the Exchequer Court and to be sold by inch of
candle, with one moiety of the proceeds to the King and the
other moiety to the proprietors: the said Peygrove having
petitioned shewing that the ship Paradise, a Dutch ship, Simon
Brinn master, on her way from France to Holland laden with
white wine for Amsterdam was by bad weather forced on the
Goodwin sands about Christmas last and the master and company
were drowned &c. ut supra p. 321; the ship and goods having
remained ever since in a spoiling condition at Sandwich during
a controversy in the Admiralty Court whether the ship and
her lading was a wreck of the sea or not, which controversy is now
determined in favour of the proprietors to whom the ship and her
lading are adjudged to be restored, paying salvage, whereupon the
Customs Commissioners proposed his refitting the ship to carry away
the wines but as the same is so damnified and he so unable to bear the
costs of the suit and of refitting &c. that he has offered as a last
expedient to consent to a condemnation of same on conditions of
