Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to naturalize the Children of such Officers and Soldiers, and others the natural-born Subjects of this Realm, who have been Abroad during the War, the Parents of such Children having been in the Service of this Government;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting Hospitals and Workhouses within the City and County of the City of Exon, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor there;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Slaughter & al. to import Thrown Silk, Bill.

The Lord Guilford reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Paris Slaughter, William Druce, Merchants, and Dame Elizabeth Chapman, to import several Bales of fine Italian Thrown Silk into this Kingdom," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Lloyd versus Tym:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Elizabeth Lloyd Widow, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery in cross Causes; One, wherein the Petitioner was Complainant, against Martha Tym and James Cardrew Defendants; and the other, wherein Martha Tym was Complainant, against the Petitioner, and Elizabeth Temple, Anne Williams, and the said James Cardrew, Defendants, on the Behalf of Martha Tym and James Cardrew; as also upon the Answer of the said Martha Tym and James Cardrew put in thereunto:

Judgement affirmed.

After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Elizabeth Lloyd shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree made in the Court of Chancery, from which they appealed, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Starling versus Ettrick's Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Samuel Starling Junior an Infant about the Age of Four Years, by Samuel Starling Esquire his Father and next Friend; praying, "That he may be heard, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, An Act for vesting in Trustees certain Lands, Parcel of the Estate of Jane late the Wife of Anthony Ettrick Gentleman, to be sold, for Payment of Debts; and for making Provision for Elizabeth their Daughter, an Infant, and Heir to her said Mother:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, as desired, on Thursday the Eight and Twentieth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock.

Deye versus Thwaites.

Upon reading the Petition of Dorothy Thwaites, Wife of James Thwaites, Respondent (with her Husband) to the Petition of John Deye and Frances his Wife and others; shewing, "That her Husband James Thwaites went from England, about Three Years since, to East India, and is not returned;" and praying, "That she may be at Liberty to make her Defence, in the Absence of her Husband, on Behalf of her Children; and have Time allowed for her to answer the said Petition:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Dorothy Thwaites do put in an Answer for her said Husband, as desired, on Thursday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock.
