p. 213. Thomas Weane and Thomas Burte of Ealing, yeomen, handed over in bail to John Settle of St. John Zachary, goldsmith, Walter Barksbye and Richard Pearse of Foster Lane, goldsmiths, for driving a cart over the head of Thomas Coates, who is in danger of death (and p.215).

Came and discharged:—

Thomas Ingham of the Spitalfields, victualler, for tippling without licence.

William Ambrey of the same, tippler, for the like.

Richard Harris [Harrys] of Whitechapel, silkweaver, for the like, and for using unlawful games (and p. 218).

John Derrickson of Wapping, mariner, for the peace.

John Pococke of the same, yeoman, for abusing the headborough of the same, handed over in bail to the said Derrickson and Thomas Poynter of East Smithfield, gunsmith (and p. 216).

Respited to the next:—

Margaret Adams of St. Katherine's, widow, to give evidence against Nicholas Abell and Thomas Harman for stealing two wether sheep from William Russell. Both guilty, no goods, seek the book, read, to be branded. The said Nicholas not guilty of stealing three wether sheep from a man unknown and divers goods of George Bevill (and p.216 and G.D.R. 2/57d.).

Let a writ of removal be made against John Francklyn, one of the [chief] constables of [the hundred of] Elthorne, because Thomas Lote of Greenford is elected in his place.

Came and discharged:—

Thomas Thorpe of Tottenham, smith, for breaking the head of Edward Barr his apprentice with a slice of iron.

Order for the under-sheriff for the county and his bailiff to take from every petty constable upon whose goods he shall levy any sums of money by way of distress and sale, by force of any warrant issuing out of this Court, for and towards the House of Correction, the sum of 6d. upon the pound of every sum of money by him paid into this Court upon the said levy.
