PRAYERS.

Squibs, and other Fire-works, to prevent throwing of, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to prevent the throwing or firing of Squibs, Serpents, and other Fireworks."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Sir Francis Guybon's Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Peterburgh reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Francis Guybon and Dame Isabella his Wife, and their Trustees, to sell the Manor of Avennalls, and other Lands in or near Gunthorp, in the County of Norfolke; and for settling other Lands in Lieu thereof," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

To which the House agreed.

Counte's of Maclesfield, against the Bill for a Devorce.

Upon reading the Petition of Anne Count ess of Maclesfeld; praying, "That the may be heard, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dissolving the Marriage between Charles Earl of Maclesfeld and Anne his Wife; and to illegitimate the Children of the said Anne," by her Counsel and Civilians, before the said Earl be admitted to make out the Allegations in the said Bill:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Countess of Maclesfeld shall be heard, by her Counsel, Civilians. and Common Lawyers, as desired, on Thursday the Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; at which Time the Earl of Maclesfeld may also be heard, by his Counsel, both Civilians and Common Lawyers, if he think fit.

Bampfield versus Popham.

After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition of Sir Coppleston Warwick Bampfield Baronet and John Bampfield Esquire Infants, by George Horner and Thomas Beare Esquires, their next Friends, and the said George Horner, Thomas Beare, Joseph Langton, and Anthony Stoker Esquires, Executors and Trustees of all the Estate of Warwick Bampfield Esquire deceased, for the said Infants Sir Copplestone Warwick Bampfield and John Bampfield, and for discharging the Debts and Legacies of the said Warwick Bampfield and Henry Rogers deceased; praying the Directions of this House, for the Court of Chancery to proceed on a Bill of Review, to reverse a Report of an Equivalent in this Cause, wherein the Petitioners were Plantiffs, and Alexander Popham Esquire Defendant; as also upon the Answer of the said Alexander Popham put in thereunto, whereby he insisted "that the said Equivalent had been in Judgement before, and settled by this House:"

Petition dismissed.

After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House, in regard it appeared the Matters therein complained of have been already settled by this House.

E. Montagu versus E. Bath.

Upon reading this Day, the Rejoinder of the Earl of Bathe, to the Replication of the Earl of Montagu:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the Subject-matter of the Petition, Answer, Replication, and Rejoinder of the Earl of Montagu and Earl of Bathe, on Wednesday the Six and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mrs. Dinah Alsop, Mr. William Atwood, Lady Charlotte Orby, Mrs. Charlotte Fairfax, Mr. William Buckingham, Mrs. Sarah Richardson, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright, Mary Mountaine, Sarah Redhead, Mrs. Elizabeth Stileman the Mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Stileman the Daughter, Mr. William Rome, Mr. Isaac Burbridge, John Smith, Mrs. Elizabeth Pheasant, Mary Pegler, Mr. John Morris, Mr. Jeremiah Thompson, Mr. Nudigate Woolsley, Mrs. Dorothy Woolsley, Mrs. Jane Pinez, Mrs. Martha Pinez, Mrs. Lucy Armstrong, and Mrs. D'Mullins, do attend this House on Friday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, as Witnesses, to be examined on the Part and Behalf of Charles Earl of Maclesfeld.
