Martin versus Stephens.
Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Thomas Martin and others are Appellants, and William Stephens is Respondent:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Five and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
India Silks, &c. to prohibit, Bill.
After hearing this Day Counsel and Witnesses, and other Persons, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for restraining the wearing of Wrought Silks and Bengalls imported into this Kingdom from Persia and East India, and all Callicoes printed or stained there:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of this Matter shall be resumed on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and all the Lords summoned to attend.
