Sir R. Holford to take Keymer's Examination.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir Richard Holford, One of the Masters in Chancery attending this House, do forthwith go to Mr. Keymer (he being sick, and not able to attend); and take his Answer, upon Oath, to the following Questions; (videlicet),
"Whether he was sent by the Dutchess of Norfolke to fetch Mrs. Norton, and at what Time or Times ?"
"If he knows upon what Account, and to what Purposes, the Dutchess sent for Mrs. Norton; and if so, to declare the same ?
"If he knows who were the Persons that at any Time were present when Mrs. Norton was with the Dutchess, and to name the Persons ?"
White & al. to attend.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. White, Mr. Lawson, and Mr. Wicket, do immediately attend this House.
Cresset & al. examined, about Lady Mary Fenwick's Papers.
After hearing, this Day, Mr. John Cresset, Mr. Christopher Dighton, Francis Moore, Mrs. Elizabeth Coalbeck, Mr. William White, Mrs. Hannah Solamon, upon their several Oaths, at the Bar:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Consideration of the Matter contained in the Three Papers delivered into this House by the Lady Mary Fenwick shall be resumed To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock; and all the Lords summoned to attend.
Keymer too ill to be examined.
Sir Richard Holford (sent to examine Mr. Keymer) acquainted the House, "That Mr. Keymer was very ill, and speechless; and he could not make him understand what he said."
Adjourn.
