Answer from H. C.

The Messengers sent Yesterday to the House of Commons returned this Answer:

That the Commons will give a Conference, at Eleven of the Clock, as desired.

ORDERED, That the same Lords that managed the last Conference do manage this.

Conference about intercepted Papers.

Then, the Commons being come to the Conference, the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

Report of it.

And his Grace the Duke of Bolton reported, "That they had attended the Conference, as commanded; and delivered the Papers, and desired they might be returned."

Regulating Trials for Treason Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for regulating of Trials, in Cases of Treason."

ORDERED, To be read again on Tuesday next; and all the Lords in and about the Town summoned to be then present.

Oaths in Ireland, Bill.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Justice Gregory and Mr. Justice Eyre:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for abrogating the Oath of Supremacy in Ireland, and appointing other Oaths," with the Amendments; and desire their Concurrence to the said Amendments.

Griffin versus Lingard.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of Edmund Griffin Esquire; praying, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of his Cause, to which John Lingard is Defendant:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Dutch. of Beaufort against E. of Aylesbury's Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing the Counsel of her Grace the Dutchess of Beaufort, against the Earl of Aylisburye's Bill; Counsel appearing for her Grace the Dutchess of Beaufort, but none for the Earl of Aylisbury:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Aylisbury do pay, or cause to be paid, unto her Grace the Dutchess of Beaufort, the Sum of Five Pounds, for her Costs in attending with Counsel this Day; and that this House will hear the Counsel for her Grace and the Earl of Aylisbury To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Fowkes versus Joyce.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of Richard Fowkes, Respondent to the Petition of Thomas Joyce; praying, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the said Cause:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Thursday the Third Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Coney versus Tirrell.

Upon reading the Petition of Mary Coney Widow, Executrix of George Coney Merchant; praying, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing her Cause, to which Samuell Tirrell hath put in his Answer, and that she may be admitted in Forma Pauperis; and that Sir Francis Winnington and Francis Browne be assigned for her Counsel:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Friday the Fourth Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the said Mary Coney shall be admitted, in Forma Pauperis, to prosecute the Appeal in this House; and that Sir Francis Winnington and Francis Browne Esquire are hereby assigned to be of Counsel in this Cause for the said Mary Coney.

Legh versus Aspinall.

The House being this Day moved, "That the Words ["upon Oath"] may be inserted in the Order made the Twelfth Instant, in the Case of Legh and others, against Gilbert Aspinall:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Words ["upon Oath"] shall be inserted in the said Order, after the Words ["Rent Rolls and Books of Accompt"]; and that they bring in the said Rent Rolls and Books of Accompt, upon Oath, at the Bar, To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Tuder versus Reg. et Regin. in Error.

After hearing Counsel this Day, to argue the Errors assigned upon a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein John Tuder is Plaintiff, and Their Majesties Defendants; no Counsel appearing for Their Majesties:

It is ORDERED, That the Debate upon the said Writ of Error be adjourned (fn. 1) to To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that, in the mean Time, the Judges of the King's Bench to inspect the Record, and give the House an Account thereof.

Chancery, &c. Bills of Review, Bill.

The House being moved, "That it might be presently put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, An Act for the better determining of Causes on Bills of Review in Chancery, and other Courts of Equity:"

After Debate;

The Question was put, "Whether the House shall now be put into a Committee, to proceed on the said Bill?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

ORDERED, That, after Eleven of the Clock Tomorrow in the Forenoon, no Business shall intervene the Proceeding of this Bill.
