Dutchess of Richmond & al. against the Alnage Bill.

After hearing this Day, at the Bar, Their Majesties Counsel, as also Counsel for the Dutchess of Richmond & Lenox, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for transferring the Duty and Custom of Alnage to the Custom-house;" as also Counsel for the said Bill:

Then,

Alnage Duty for transferring to the Customhouse, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for transferring the Duty and Custom of Alnage to the Customhouse."

And, after Debate thereupon,

This Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be committed?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then this Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be rejected?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Colonel Leighton's Petition rejected.

Upon reading the Petition of Colonel Baldwin Leighton:

It is ORDERED, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, rejected.

Protections, to prevent Irregularities in:

This Day being appointed for taking into Consideration Ways and Means to prevent irregular Protections; and upon reading over the several Protections entered in the Book, and after Debate thereupon:
