The Lord Marquis of Hallifax reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting a Court of Enquiry, in order to the Relief of the distressed Orphans of the City of London," with Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to.
ORDERED, That the said Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.
Stepkin, Gentleman of the Privy Chamber, discharged from an Arrest.
Upon reading the Petition of Peter Stepkin; shewing, "That he is One of the Gentlemen of His Majesty's most Honourable Privy Chamber in Ordinary; and that, on the 5th Day of this Instant December, he was arrested, at the Suit of one John Hill, in an Action of Debt, and committed to Woodstreete Compter; and that the said Hill refuses to discharge him, though he hath had Notice that he is His Majesty's Servant in Ordinary;" and upon Oath made at the Bar of the Truth of the abovementioned Particulars, and that he was arrested within the Time of Privilege of Parliament:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Peter Stepkin shall be, and is hereby, discharged from his Imprisonment in Woodstreete Compter; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
To the Keeper of Woodstreete Counter, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and all other Persons whom it may concern.
Burdet discharged.
Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Burdett Gentleman, in Custody of the Black Rod, praying to be discharged:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Burdett shall be, and is hereby, discharged paying his Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them.

After hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, for her Grace the Dutchess of Beaufort, as also Counsel for the Right Honourable the Earl of Aylesbury; and after due Consideration of what was offered by Counsel for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas "Earl of Aylesbury and Elizabeth Countess of Aylesbury his Wife to make Provision for Payment of Debts, and make Leases of their Estates:"

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill be, and is hereby, referred to these Lords following; whose Lordships, having considered thereof, and taken Care that none of the Earl's Children suffer by this Bill; that if the Earl hath Power already to commit Waste, whether that is not more prejudicial to the Heir than the Powers given the Earl by this Bill; and that the Debts of the said Earl be ascertained, which he is empowered to pay by this Bill:
