This Day Robert Earl of Lyndsey took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.
Loleworth Manor, Edward's Bill.
The Lord North reported, "That the Committee have made some Amendments in the Bill wherein Mr. Edwards is concerned; and do think it fit to pass, with those Amendments."
Which, being read, were Agreed to; and the House Ordered the Bill to be engrossed, with these Amendments.
Law Practice of, Bill for regulating
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the Benefit of the Subject, in relation to the Practice and Execution of the Law."
ORDERED, That this Bill be read the Second Time To-morrow Morning.
Bill for recognizing K. Will. and Q. Mary, and for confirming the Acts of the last Parliament.
The House was put into a Committee, to proceed in the Bill, intituled, "An Act for declaring the Acts of the last Parliament, begun and held at Westm. the 13th Day of February, 1688, to be of full Force and Effect by the Laws of this Realm, and for recognizing Their now Majesties King William and Queen Mary to be by the Laws of this Realm our rightful and lawful Sovereign Liege Lord and Lady, King and Queen of this Realm."
The House being resumed;
The Earl of Mulgrave, by Direction of the House, reported, "That the Committee desired, that the House would please to order, That the Committee of the House might sit again To-morrow, to proceed in this Bill."
To which the House agreed; and ordered the same accordingly.
Sea Coals, regulating the Price of.
Upon Report from the Lords Committees appointed to consider and inspect the unreasonable Prices of Coals in and about the Cities of London and Westminster:
It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Baron Nevill and Mr. Baron Turton do draw a Bill, to revive the Statute made in the 16th and 17th Years of King Charles the Second, for settling the Price of Coals.
Report concerning Proceedings in Courts below after Appeals, &c. during Intervals of Parliament.
Upon Report from the Lords Committees appointed to inspect the Journals, "Whether any Proceedings may be had in the Courts in Westm. Hall, in the Intervals of Parliaments, after Appeals or Writs of Error depending in this House:"
It is ORDERED, That the said Report shall be considered on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read the Second Time To-morrow Morning, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Coke versus Fountain.
After hearing Counsel at the Bar on Wednesday last, upon the Petition and Appeal of Edward Coke Esquire, from a Dismission made in the Court of Exchequer, the 22° Die Junii, 1682, as to the Debt of One Thousand Pounds put out by Mr. Colwall the Scrivener, into Mr. Buckworth's and others Hands, and afterwards paid in to Alderman Backewelle, and since received by the Defendant Fountaine; as also upon the Answer of the said Andrew Fountaine Esquire put in thereunto, as to the said Sum of One Thousand Pounds:
After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel on either Side thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Dismission, made on the Behalf of the said Andrew Fountaine by the Court of Exchequer, as to the said One Thousand Pounds due by Buckworth and others, and received by Fountaine as aforesaid, from which the said Edward Coke Esquire appealed to this House, be, and is hereby, reversed: And it is further ORDERED, That the said Andrew Fountaine do account for, and pay to the said Edward Coke Esquire, the said One Thousand Pounds by him received as aforesaid, and Interest for the same; and that the Barons of Their Majesties Court of Exchequer do thereupon proceed to take the Accompts accordingly.
Thwaites versus Dye & Ux.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Cause depending in this House, wherein James Thwaytes is Plaintiff, and John Dye Defendant, shall be heard, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the 12th Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Coke versus Fountain.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel at the Bar, in the Cause wherein Edward Coke Esquire is Plaintiff, and Andrew Fountaine Defendant, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and, if Public Business will not then permit, it shall be further heard before any other Private Cause whatsoever.
Dashwood versus Champante:
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Edward Roberts, Samuell Richardson, Robert Bridges, Major Cadwell, Mordecai Abbott, John Hall, and John Bernard, Gentlemen, do attend this House on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, as Witnesses on the Behalf of Sir John Champante, Respondent to the Appeal of the Executors of George Dashwood deceased.
