Smith versus Coleby.
Upon reading the Petition of Alexander Smith and others, praying a Day for Hearing their Appeal, to which Alexander Coleby hath put in his Answer:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the said Appeal and Answer, on Saturday the 4th of July next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Alexander Smith and others are to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Alexander Coleby for that Purpose.
D. Bucks versus Combes & al.
The House being moved, to appoint a Day for hearing the Cause wherein the Right Honourable the Duke of Bucks is Plaintiff, and John Combes and others Defendants:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, at the Bar, in the said Cause, on Monday the Sixth Day of July next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Duke of Bucks, or his Agents, are to cause timely Notice to be given to the said John Combes and other Respondents, for the Purpose.
E. Danby's Complaint of a Libel, Terrence and Dinense's Case.
The Earl of Danby acquainted the House, "That there was a Paper printed, intituled, "The Case of Francis Terrence and Martin Dincnse, Merchants;" which he takes to be a Libel against himself:"
After reading thereof, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That it be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges; to consider thereof, and report to the House their Opinions thereupon.
Message from the King, concerning an Adjournment.
The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That he had a Message to their Lordships from His Majesty; which his Lordship delivered, to this Effect: "That His Majesty thinks it necessary, at this Time, your Lordships should be present in your respective Countries, that He may have the Use of your Service there, upon which He relies very much; therefore His Majesty does intend there shall be a Recess in a few Days: But, to the End none of the Businesses now depending may be prejudiced, His Majesty is pleased it shall be by Way of Adjournment, and for some short Time only."
Dutchy of Cornwall, Bill.

Bill for Exportation of Leather.
The Earl of Aylesbury reported, "That the Lords Committees have read and considered the Bill for transporting of Leather; wherein the Lords have made a small Amendment."
Which was read Twice, and Agreed to.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Coke and Sir John Francklyn, to deliver to them:
1. The Bill to enable His Majesty to make Grants, Leases, and Copies of Offices, Lands, and Hereditaments, Parcel of His Highness's Dutchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the same; and for Confirmation of Leases and Grants already made; and to desire their Concurrence thereunto.
2. To return the Bill for reviving an Act for transporting of Leather; to which the Lords do agree, with some Amendments; to which their Concurrence is desired.
Bill to repeal Part of an Act for draining Bedford Level.

Post-office and Excise Bill.
The Lord Privy Seal reported the Bill for consolidating the Estates Taille, and Reversion in Fee, which His Majesty hath in the Post-office, "That the Committee thinks it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
Whereupon the House ordered the said Bill to be engrossed.
Howard versus D. Norfolk & al.
ORDERED, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel in the Cause of the Duke of Norff. and Charles Howard Esquire, To-morrow Morning, the First Business.
