Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Cheyne and others; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent Frauds in buying and selling of Cattle in Smithfeild and elsewhere;" to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

Bill to prevent Frauds in selling, &c. Cattle in Smithfield.

Upon the Second Reading of a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the naturalizing of John Deledique and others," the House being moved, "That, in regard there is a Bill sent down from this House to the House of Commons, intituled, An Act for Naturalization; of which Bill the Lords have not yet had any Account from them, this Bill might not be further proceeded in at present:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of this Business be referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, who are to report their Opinion thereupon unto the House.

L. Roberts & al. versus Cresset, et è contra.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day at the Bar, in the Cause upon the Petition of John Lord Roberts, Sir Richard Wynne Baronet and Henry Wynne Esquire, being an Appeal from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, in November One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty and Nine, on the Behalf of John Cresset Gentleman, for Sale of some of the Lands late of John Bodvell Esquire, deceased, for satisfying a Debt of Five Thousand Pounds owing by Robert Roberts Esquire unto the said John Cresset, and the Answer of the said John Cresset put in thereunto; as also in the Cause upon the Petition of the said John Cresset, being an Appeal for reversing Part of a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, in November One Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy, concerning the not paying of Interest to the said John Cresset for the Five Thousand Pounds abovementioned; and the Answer of the said Lord Roberts, Sir Richard Wynne, and Henry Wynne (Trustees in whom the said Lands are vested by Act of this present Parliament):

After due Consideration had of what hath been offered on either Part in the said Causes respectively, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Appeal of John Lord Roberts, Sir Richard Wynne, and Henry Wynn aforesaid, as also the said Appeal of the said John Cresset, be, and are hereby, dismissed this House, without Prejudice nevertheless to the said John Cressett's going back into the Chancery for the Costs of Suits, the which, by the Order and Decree of the Eighth of November One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty and Nine, is reserved to the Consideration of that Court.

Bill for taking Accompts of Money given to indigent Officers.

ORDERED, That the Bill for taking the Accompts of Sixty Thousand Pounds given to the loyal indigent Officers shall be read the Second Time on Monday Morning next; at which Time the Report shall be made from the Committee of Petitions concerning the poor Widows of the loyal indigent Officers.
