This Day Thomas Lord Coventry took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Parliament to meet, in Case of the King's Demise, Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled; "An Act for the continuing, meeting, and sitting of a Parliament, in Case of the Death or Demise of His Majesty, His Heirs or Successors."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Maydwell Rectory, Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for settling divers Lands and Rents-charge on the Rector of the Church of Maydwell, in the County of Northampton, and his Successors; and, in Lieu thereof, for settling other Lands, and discharging Tithes belonging to the said Church, according to several Agreements between the Patron and the said Rector, made upon the enclosing of Lands in Maydwell, and afterwards, with Consent of the Ordinary, confirmed by several Decrees in the Court of Chancery."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shal pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to it; and with Amendments to the Bill for a Parliament to meet, in Case of the King's Demise.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To let them know, the Lords have agreed to the said last mentioned Bill, without any Amendment; and to desire their Concurrence to the Amendments made by the Lords to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the continuing, meeting, and sitting of a Parliament, in Case of the Death or Demise of His Majesty, His Heirs or Successors."

Seamen, for Encouragement and Increase of, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Increase and Encouragement of Seamen."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be read the Second Time To-morrow Morning.

Elections, to prevent Abuses of Returning Officers at, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the further regulating Elections of Members to serve in Parliament; and for the preventing irregular Proceedings of Sheriffs and other Officers, in the electing and returning such Members."

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be read the Second Time on Friday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

No Private Bills to be received, except L. Cornwallis's.

It is ORDERED and Declared, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, after this Day, this House will not receive any new Private Bills, but such as shall come from the House of Commons, except One from the Lord Cornwallis.

Messages from H. C. to return Biggs' Bill, and Jones's.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Bowles and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Lands of Thomas Bigg and his Wife, in Chislet, in the County of Kent, in Trustees, for Payment of Debts, and making Provision for their Children;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments therein.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Farrer and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling the Personal Estates of Richard Jones Esquire and Mary Gyfford Spinster, Minors, in Trustees, for the Purposes therein mentioned;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.
