Lord Cutts, Leave from H. C. to attend.
The Messengers sent Yesterday to the House of Commons return Answer:
That they give Leave for the Lord Cutts to attend the Committee, as desired.
Exports, and Imports, &c. Account of, from Commissioners of Customs:
Officers of the Customs, to attend the Committee for considering them.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees appointed to consider of Papers delivered into this House, from the Commissioners of the Customs, the Thirtieth of December last, do meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and that some of the Commissioners of the Customs, the principal Patent Officers, the Comptroller General of the Accompts, and the Secretaries, do also attend the said Committee, at the Time aforesaid.
Thornhill versus Clifton.
The House being informed, "That Sir Gervas Clifton and Sarah Clifton (Respondents to the Appeal of John Thornhill) have not put in their Answer thereunto, as ordered on the Sixth of this Instant January, although they were served with the Order of this House:"
It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Gervas Clifton and Sarah Clifton do peremptorily put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, on Wednesday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
