Former name : "Lamb Court" (O. and M. 1677).

Removed for the formation of Queen Victoria Street.

Extended originally to Seacoal Lane, but the western end was cut off for the L.C. and Dover Railway lines.

Site now covered by Holborn Viaduct Station and the railway lines.

The famous Break-neck steps led up to this court.

On the south side of Fleet Street at No. 56, east of Serjeants' Inn, in Farringdon Ward Without (Lockie, 1810-16).

The "Greene Dragon" in Fleet Street is mentioned in 1612 (H. MSS. Com. Marquis of Bath, II. 62).
