The House unanimously chose the Lord Marquis of Halifax Speaker pro Tempore; the Lord Chief Baron Atkins not attending.
PRAYERS.
The Lord Privy Seal acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of this Parliament."
Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Privy Seal in the Middle; and the Earl of Macclesfeild on his Right Hand; and the Lord Chamberlain and the Earl of Nottingham on his Left Hand; commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire them to come, "and be present, to hear the said Commission read."
