This Day William Lord Leinster was introduced, between the Lord De la Ware and the Lord Lucas; the King at Arms and Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod going before; the Herald carrying the Patent, who delivered it to him at the Woolsack. Then he delivered it to the Speaker on his Knee; and the Speaker delivered it to the Clerk, who read it at the Table.

His Patent bears Date the Twelfth Day of April, 4° Gul. et Mariæ.

And then he accordingly took his Place at the lower End of the Barons Bench.

Which having done; he came to the Table, and took the Oaths and Test, pursuant to the Statutes.

Then the Lord President acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of this Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, being seated on a Form, placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord President in the Middle; the Lord Privy Seal and the Lord Cornwallis on his Right Hand; and the Earl of Bath and Lord Viscount Sydney on his Left Hand; commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire them to "come and be present, to hear the said Commission read."
