PRAYERS.

Lords take the Oaths.

This Day these Lords following took the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and made and subscribed the Declaration, in Pursuance of the Act for the more effectual preserving of the King's Person and Government, by disabling Papists from sitting in either House of Parliament:

George Lord Delamer.

Christopher Lord Hatton.

James Lord Norreys.

Phillip Earl of Chesterfield.

E. Tyrone, King's Answer to the Address.

The Lord Chamberlain reported, "That he and the other Lords with White Staves have attended His Majesty, with the Address of this House, for the safe bringing over the Earl of Tyrone out of Ireland, and the Papers of Evidence, and Proceedings had concerning him in Ireland; to which His Majesty's Answer is, That He will take Care thereof." His Lordship further reported, "That the Lords of the Council here have those Papers already before them. However, His Majesty will give Order, that if any be wanting, they shall be supplied."

E. Castlemain not to be found:

John Harwood and Moses Evans, Deputies to the Serjeant at Arms, gave the House an Account upon Oath, "That they have searched in several Places in Town for the Earl of Castlemaine, but cannot find him; and that they are informed, that he is gone into the Country."

Hereupon it is ORDERED, That there shall be speedy Search made for him at Fulmer and Dorney, in the County of Bucks, or elsewhere, as shall be informed.

Cox's Deposition concerning his taking Orders.

Nathaniell Cox, appearing this Day at the Bar, had his Oath given him; and being asked, "Whether he did see the Earl of Castlemain take the Order of Priesthood at Rome?" To which he answered, "That he did never see the Earl of Castlemain in his Life; but he was told at Rome, by Three Jesuits, That the Earl of Castlemain had taken the Order of a Romish Priest; and that he had a Dispensation to declare his Marriage void."

Bill to clear London, &c. of Papists.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to proceed further in the Consideration of the Bill for freeing the City of London and the Parts adjacent from Popish Inhabitants.

The House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee of the House have considered of the Bill for freeing London from Popish Inhabitants; and have made a Sub-committee, to consider of a Clause therein concerning Conviction; and desire the House will give them Power to send for a Judge to assist; and when the Sub-committee have met, and are ready for a Report, they will desire the House will appoint a Time when the Committee may meet again."

The House agreed with the Committee; and ordered Mr. Justice Ellis and Mr. Justice Raymond, or One of them, to attend the Lords Sub-committees To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings.
