Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet at Nine of the Clock To-morrow Morning, in the Lord Keeper's Lodgings; and to adjourn as they please.
L. Townshend versus Dr. Hughes, for scandalous Words. Privilege.
Upon Complaint made to this House, "That Owen Hughes, Doctor of the Civil Law, hath uttered scandalous Words against the Lord Townshend, a Peer of this Realm, and Member of this House:"
It is this Day ORDERED, by &c. That the said Doctor Owen Hughes be, and is hereby, required to appear at the Bar of this House, on Friday the 19th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to answer to the said Complaint; and hereof he may not fail.
Hubert, King's Servant, versus Slocombe. Privilege.
Upon reading the Petition of John Hubert Esquire, One of His Majesty's Gentlemen Pensioners in ordinary; shewing, "That, in the last Session, he petitioned, complaining, That, on the 29th of January, 1673 (the Parliament then fitting), while he was attending on His Majesty's Royal Person, John Slocomb, of Colebrook, in the County of Bucks, Mercer, caused the Petitioner's Cattle (to the Value of Forty Pounds) to be attached, by Process out of the Honour and Castle of Windsor, upon a Pretence of a Debt of Eleven Pounds, as in the said Petition is alledged; as also that, on the same Day, as soon as the said Cattle were discharged by the Petitioner's Brother paying the said Eleven Pounds (unknown to the Petitioner), George Fellowes, of Colebrooke aforesaid, Taylor, caused the said Cattle to be re-attached, by like Process, for a Debt of about Eighteen Pounds, by which Power they were condemned and sold, to the great Damage of the Petitioner; upon which, the said John Slocomb and George Fellowes were summoned to attend and answer; but, by reason of the great Business of this House, they were not heard; and therefore now prayeth a new Summons, for them to appear and answer:"
It is this Day ORDERED, That the said John Slocomb and George Fellowes be, and are hereby, required to appear at the Bar of this House, to answer to the said Complaint, on Monday the 22th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and hereof they may not fail.
Bulkley versus Bulkley, in Error.
Upon reading the Petition of William Bulkley Merchant, this Day; praying, "That the Day of hearing Errors argued, upon his Writ of Error depending in this House, to which Bartholmew Bulkley (his Brother) is Defendant, may be put off, until the said Bartholmew Bulkley hath put in an Answer to his Appeal, depending also in this House, from a Decree made in the Chancery on the Behalf of the said Bartholmew Bulkley, for dismissing the Petitioner's Bill, for the Reasons in the said Petition suggested:"
It is this Day ORDERED, by &c. That the Hearing of the said Errors argued, by Counsel on both Parts, at the Bar of this House, be, and is hereby, put off till Thursday the 25th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Bartholmew Bulkley for that Purpose.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to resume the Debate which was on the Eleventh Instant, concerning the Manner of entering Protestations.
The House being resumed;
It is ORDERED, That this Debate is adjourned to Thursday Morning, the Eighteenth of this Instant November, to be then resumed in the Committee of the whole House; at which Time the Clerk of the Parliaments is to have the Journals of this House in a Readiness; and the Clerk that keeps the Records in The Tower is to attend, with such Rolls as are in his Custody relating to the Matter in Question, for the examining of the Precedents mentioned in the said Debate, or such others as shall be then offered to this House.
