Mr. Lawrence. Hyde reporteth the Proceeding of the grand Committee, in the Point of Commerce.

He saith, the Merchants were called before them, and opposed.

1. The Merchants desired a Copy of so much as concern Commerce.

2. The Merchants to bring, in Writing, to the Committee, their Exceptions and Reasons.

3. It was informed by our Merchants, that the Merchants of France were bribed by the Scottishmen, to conceal their Immunities and Privileges. - This to be examined and proved.

Quest. made, whether these Three things were to be pursued as they were propounded; And Resolved, they should.

The Committee to proceed, in the mean time, in the other Parts of the Instrument.
