II. THE CONFIRMACION OF KING HARRY THE SEVENTH.

Henricus, Dei gracia Rex Anglie et ffrancie et dominus Hibernie, omnibus ad quos presentes litere pervenerint, salutem. Inspeximus literas patentes recolende memorie domini Henrici sexti nuper Regis, Avunculi nostri precarissimi, factas in hec verba:

Henricus, Dei gracia &c. ut supra.

Nos autem litteras predictas ac omnia et singula in eisdem contenta rata habentes et grata, ea pro nobis et heredibus nostris, quantum in nobis est, acceptamus et approbamus, ac dilectis nobis in Cristo Johanni Colett, (fn. 1) Clerico, nunc Rectori, Willielmo Bromwell, et Johanni Monke, nunc Gardianis ffraternitatis sive Gilde sepe dicte, et ffratribus et sororibus ejusdem Gilde, ac successoribus suis, tenore presencium ratificamus et confirmamus, prout littere predicte rationabiliter testantur. In cujus rei testimonium has literas nostras fieri fecimus patentes. Teste Meipso apud Croydon, sexto decimo die Aprilis, Anno regni nostri vicesimo secundo.
