Porters at the Queen's House ?1768–1812
Porters and assistant porters at the Queen's House were appointed by warrant of the lord steward. They were paid £60 per annum. The first assistant porter made £30 per annum, the second and third, £25. (fn. 1) These places were transferred to the Windsor establishment in 1812.
