Guns and Bows 1660–1702

Under Charles II, two gentlemen of the guns made 12d per diem. The Establishment of 1689 reduced their number to one at £140 plus £20 in livery money. Under Charles II, the gentleman of the bows made £85 5s. There were two yeomen of the guns and bows until 1675. The yeoman of the guns made £18 5s plus £15 6s 8d in livery money under William III. Under Charles II the crossbow maker made 4d per diem and (?)12s per annum. By 1720 the gentleman and yeoman of the guns were unpaid. (fn. 1)

The yeoman of the leash made £3 6s 8d plus £52 per annum in livery under William III. The child of the leash made £2 plus £12 0s 8d for livery per annum. (fn. 2)
