Hereford Workhouses.

A Bill for erecting of Hospitals and Work-houses within the City of Hereford, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor there, was, according to Order, read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Morgan, Sir William Lowther, Mr. Blaake, Mr. Foley, Sir Henry Colt, Mr. Blofeild, Sir Marm. Wivell, Sir Wm. Blackett, Sir Herbert Crofts, Sir Wm. St. Quintin, Mr. England, Mr. Rowney, Mr. Mountstevens, Sir Isaac Rebow, Mr. Fleming, Mr. Yates, Sir Tho. Day, Sir Matth. Andrews, Sir Tho. Roberts, Mr. Whitaker, Mr. Burrington, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Ro. Harley, Sir Henry Goff, Mr. Rider, Mr. Sanford, Mr. Edw. Crediton Workhouses.

An ingrossed Bill for erecting an Hospital or Hospitals, Work-house, or Work-houses, and House or Houses of Correction within the Town and Parish of Crediton, in Decon, for the better Relief of the Poor there, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for erecting Hospitals, Work-houses, and Houses of Correction, within the Town and Parish of Crediton, in the County of Devon; and for the better Relief of the Poor there.

Ordered, That Mr. Burrington do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Hall's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for settling the Estate of John Hall, a Lunatick, subject to a Debt charged thereupon, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time upon Wednesday Morning next.

Gardner's Marriage Settlement.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to rectify a Mistake in the Marriage Settlement of William Gardner Esquire, deceased, was read a Second time.

Ordered, That the Lord Irwin have Leave to go into the Country, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Supply Bill; Land-Tax.

Ordered, That the Lists of Commissioners to be inserted in the Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid, by a Land-Tax, for One Year, to raise Money for disbanding Forces, paying Seamen, and other Uses therein mentioned, for putting the said Act in Execution, be brought in to the Committee of the whole House, to whom the said Bill is committed.

A Person discharged from further attendance.

Ordered, That Lieutenant Colonel Carpenter be discharged of any further Attendance on the Committee, to whom the Consideration of the Petition of his Soldiers was referred.

Sheriffs Accounts.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the more easy passing of Sheriffs Accounts, and Execution of their Office, was committed, be made To-morrow Morning.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid, by a Land-Tax, for One Year, to raise Money for disbanding Forces, paying Seamen, and other Uses therein mentioned.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had directed him to move, That they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
