AN ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for making salt Water fresh, was read the First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.
St. Martin's in the Vintry Church-yard.
An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to confirm a Grant made by the Rector of the United Parishes of St. Michael Royal, and St. Martin's in the Vintry, London, of Part of St. Martin's Church-yard, was read the Third time.
Resolved, That the Bill do pass.
Ordered, That Sir Thomas Vernon do carry the Bill to the Lords, and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendments.
Gage's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable the Trustees of William Gage Esquire, to raise Money by a Mortgage of Part of his Estate, for the Preservation of the Timber growing thereon, was read the Third time.
Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Supply Bills; Duties on Marriages. &c.
Mr. Solicitor-General presented to the House, according to Order, a Bill for granting to his Majesty certain Rates and Duties upon Marriages, Births, and Burials, and also upon Bachelors and Widowers, for the Term of Five Years, for carrying on the War against the French King with Vigour: And the same was received.
The Bill was read the First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time upon Monday Morning next.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Sir Edward Hussey have Leave to go into the Country, upon extraordinary Occasions.
Ordered, That Mr. Pelham have Leave to go into the Country upon extraordinary Occasions.

Thames Locks and Weirs.
The House, according to the Order of the Day, proceeded to take into Consideration the Report from the Committee, to whom the Bill for preventing Exactions of the Occupiers of Locks and Weirs upon the River of Thames, westward of the City of London; and for ascertaining the Price of Water-carriage upon the said River; was committed:
And the Amendments, made by the Committee, to the said Bill, were once read throughout; and then a Second time one by one; and upon the Question severally put thereupon, all of them, but one, viz. Clause C, which was disagreed, agreed unto by the House.
Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.
Transport Debt.
The House took into Consideration That Part of his Majesty's Speech, at the Opening of this Session, which relates to the Debts owing to the Transport-Ships for Ireland:
And a Motion being made, for a Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for Relief of the Persons whose Ships were employed for Transports for the Reducing of Ireland;
Resolved, That this House will, upon Wednesday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of that Motion.
Supply Bill; Annuities for Life.
Ordered, That the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for enabling such Persons as have Estates for Life in Annuities, payable by several former Acts, therein mentioned, to purchase and obtain further, or more certain, Interests in such Annuities; and, in Default thereof, for admitting other Persons to purchase or obtain the same; is committed; have Power to receive a Clause of Appropriation for the Use of the Navy.
Ditto.
Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the said Bill.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee. That they had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments; which they had directed him to report when the House will please to receive the same.
Ordered, That the Report be received upon Tuesday Morning next.
And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
