Prayers.

Privilege.

A COMPLAINT being made to the House, That Thomas Exton, a menial Servant of the Lord Cornbury, a Member of this House, hath been arrested by Thomas Broad a Bailiff, at the Suit of Mr. Edward Leneve, in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That the said Edward Broad be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for the said Breach of Privilege.

Expiring Laws.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Tuesday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock, take into further Consideration the Report from the Committee, to whom it was referred to inspect and consider what Laws are lately expired, and expiring; and what are fit to be revived and continued.

Abuses in Army Subsistence money.

The House according to the Order of the Day, proceeded in the Examination of the Matter of the Complaint of the Inhabitants of Royston:

And Agent Tracy Pauncefort attending, according to Order;

He was called in and examined.

And then withdrew.

The Lieutenant and Ensign of Captain Cartwright's Company were called in, together with the said Agent Pauncefort; and all examined.

And then withdrew.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the Officers and Soldiers of the Army demanding and exacting Subsistencemoney in their Quarters, or upon their March, is arbitrary and illegal, and a great Violation of the Rights and Liberties of the Subject.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock, take into further Consideration the said Complaint of the Inhabitants of Royston.

Ordered, That Colonel Hastings, Major Montall, and the said Lieutenant, and Agent Pauncefort, do attend this House upon Monday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock.

Ordered, That the said Ensign be discharged from his further Attendance.

Abuses by Regimental Agents.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for taking and stating the publick Accounts do, upon Friday Morning next, lay before this House their Observations of the Abuses, and ill Practices, committed by the several Agents of the Regiments of the Army.

Ordered, That the said Commissioners do then also lay before this House the Names of such of the Agents of the Regiments of the Army, as have neglected to attend them upon their Summons.

Pauncefort's Accounts.

Ordered, That Agent Pauncefort do forthwith lay before this House a particular Account of all the Monies received from the Earl of Ranelagh, and the Times of such Receipts, since the Twenty-eighth Day of May last; and how he has paid or disposed of the said Money; and when, and to whom he paid the same; and what remains in his Hands.

Elections—incapacitating Persons refusing Oaths.

Ordered, That the Bill to disable all Persons from voting in Elections of Members to serve in Parliament, who shall refuse to take the Oaths to the Government, be read a Second time upon this Day Sevennight.

Tryals in Lancashire, &c.

Ordered, That the Examination and Consideration of the late Proceedings and Tryals in Lancashire and Cheshire be further adjourned until Tuesday Morning next, Eleven a Clock.

Ordered, That all such Persons as were ordered to attend this House this Day, touching the said Proceedings and Tryals, do attend this House again upon Tuesday Morning next, Eleven a Clock.

Free Proceedings in Parliament.

Resolved, That the adjourned Debate, upon the Amendment proposed to be made to the Bill touching free and impartial Proceedings in Parliament, be further adjourned until Saturday Morning next, Eleven a Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
