OREDED, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for the better Discipline of their Majesties Navy Royal is committed, be revived; and do sit upon Monday Morning next, Eight a Clock, in the Speaker's Chambers.

The Lords have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for appointing and enabling Commissioners to examine; take, and state, the publick Accounts of the Kingdom, without any Amendments.
And then the Messengers withdrew.
Supply Bill, Duties on Paper, &c.
An ingrossed Bill for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, for Four Years, towards carrying on the War against France, was read the Third time.
An Amendment was proposed to be made, Pr. 1. L. 16. to leave out "Four," and insert "Eight:"
And the same was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.
Another Amendment was proposed to be made, Pr. 4. L. 38. after "Parchment," to insert "or Paper:"
And the same was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.
Another Amendment was proposed to be made, Pr. 6. L. 24. after "Writ," to insert "except such Original, on which a Writ of Capias issues:"
And the same was upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.
Another Amendment was proposed to be made, Pr. 7. L. 9. after "arrested," to leave out "as by the Course of the several Courts it ought to be done:"

And then the same was read the Third time; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be made Part of the Bill.
Another ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider to the Bill, That Writs shall contain but One Cause of Action:
And the same was once read; and by Leave of the House, withdrawn.
Another ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider to the Bill, for making Bonds, Bills, and Notes, assignable.
And the same was twice read:
And the Question being put, That the Clause be read the Third time;
It passed in the Negative.
Another ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider to the Bill, That the Act shall not extend to charge Bills of Exchange, Accounts, Bills of Parcels, Bills of Fees, Bills or Notes, not sealed, for Payment of Money at Sight, or upon Demand, or at the End of certain Days of Payment:
And the same was thrice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be made Part of the Bill.
Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, for Four Years, towards carrying on the War against France.
Ordered, That Sir Thomas Littleton do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

The Lords have agreed to the Amendments, made by this House, to the Bill, intituled, An Act for naturalizing Johanna D'Offarell, an Infant, and her Sister, and Two Brothers: And also,
Building Ships.
To the Bill, intituled, An Act for building good and desensible Ships, with some Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
And then the Messengers withdrew.
Supply Bill; Hackney Coach Duty.
Sir Thomas Littleton reported, from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for licensing of Hackney and Stage Coaches was committed, the Amendments made by the Committee to the said Bill; the which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, some of them agreed, and others disagreed, unto by the House: And other Amendments were made to the Bill by the House.
A Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, with Blanks, for giving Liberty to a certain Number of Coaches to ply on Sundays:
And the same was twice read; and the Blanks filled up; and other Amendments made therein by the House; and the Clause agreed to be made Part of the Bill.
Another Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, for Magistrates to punish Abuses committed by Coachmen:
And the same was twice read; and upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be made Part of the Bill.
Another Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, That the Act shall not prejudice the Privilege of the University of Oxford, in licensing their Stage Coaches, they paying the Duties of the Act.
And the same was once read.
And the Question being put, That the Clause be read a Second time;
It passed in the Negative.
Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.
And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
