Prayers.

Raising Militia.

MR. Boyle reported from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for raising the Militia, for the Year 1694, although the Month's Pay, formerly advanced, be not repaid, was committed, That they had made some Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Beverly's Estate.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the Committee, to whom the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for vesting in Trustees the Estate late of Sir James Beverly in Huntingtonshire, to be sold, was committed, That they had examined and considered the same, and the several Petitions to them referred; and had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was read; and are as follow; viz.

Press 9. L. 8. leave out "Bedfordshire," and insert "Bedford."

L 37. before "saving," insert Clause A, for Sale of a Farm, called Keys Farm, and other Lands, which were mortgaged by Sir James Beverly, for the full Value, to Mary Alston Spinster, in Trust, to pay Mrs. Alston; after Payment of the Trustees Charges.

Press 9. L. 39. after "Successors," add "the Creditors of the said Thomas Beverly the Father, and James Beverly, by Bond, Judgment, Recognizance, or other Specialty."

Pr. 10. L. 4. after "Hayes," add "William Warne, Mary Alston, and Roger Dade."

L. 5. after "Demand," add, "in Law or Equity."

The First and Second Amendments, being read a Second time, were, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

The Third Amendment, being read a Second time, was, upon the Question put thereupon, disagreed unto by the House.

The Fourth Amendment, being read a Second time, was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

The last Amendment being read a Second time; the same was, upon the Question put thereupon, disagreed unto by the House.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Robert Legard and Mr. Holford:

Mr. Speaker,

St. John, Wapping, Parish.

The Lords have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for erecting a new Parish, to be called the Parish of St. John of Wapping, within the County of Middlesex, with some Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Tonage Duties, &c. [Bank of England incorporated.]

The House proceeded, according to the Order of the Day, to take into Consideration the Report, Yesterday, from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for granting to their Majesties certain Duties upon Wines, and upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, and also the Bill for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon the Tonage of Ships; . . . . :

And several of the Amendments, made by the Committee to the said Bill, were severally read a Second time; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed, and others disagreed, unto by the House: And several Amendments were made by the House to the said Amendments.

Ordered, That the further Consideration of the said Report be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten a Clock.

Supply Bill; Duties on Paper, &c.

Ordered, That the Bill for granting to their Majesties several Duties upon Paper and Parchment be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
