Call of the House.
ORDERED, That the Call of the House be adjourned until Wednesday Morning next.
Supply Bill; importing Brandy, &c.
Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for repealing a Clause, in the Act made in the First Year of their Majesties Reign for prohibiting all Trade and Commerce with France, which prohibits the Importation of Brandy, Aqua-Vitæ, and other Spirits.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir John Dorrell took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir John Dorrell reported from the said Committee, That they had gone through the Bill, and made some Amendments: Which they had directed him to report to the House.
Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning, at Ten of the Clock.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Mr. Pawlet have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight; his Lady being very ill.
Miscarriages of the Fleet.
The Order of the Day, for further Inquiry into the Miscarriages of the Fleet the last Summer, being read;
Several of the Examinations and Informations, transmitted from the Committee of Council, appointed to examine the Matter of the Petition of the Turkey Company, were read.
Resolved, That the further Inquiry into the Miscarriages of the Fleet the last Summer, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten a Clock.
Ordered, That the Admirals, who commanded the Fleet the last Summer, and attended this day, do attend this House To-morrow Morning.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
