Bubb to change his Name to Doddington, Bill:

The Lord Viscount Townshend reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable George Bubb Esquire and his Issue Male to change their Surname to the Surname of Doddington," was committed: "That they had considered thereof; and that the Committee had directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Then the said Bill was read the Third Time.

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Boetefeur's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Abraham Boeteseur."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to the Two last Bills.

And Messages were severally sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Gery and Mr. Rogers:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the Two last mentioned Bills, without any Amendment.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, to robe.

King present:

His Majesty, being seated on His Royal Throne, and adorned with His Crown and Regal Ornaments, and attended with His Officers of State; the Prince of Wales, in his Robes, sitting in his Place on His Majesty's Right Hand; and the Lords being also in their Robes; the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod received His Majesty's Commands to signify to the Commons, "That it is His Majesty's Pleasure, they attend Him, immediately, in this House."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Clerk of the Crown read the Titles of the Bills to be passed, severally, as follow:

"1. An Act to enable His Majesty to be Governor of the South Sea Company."

To which the Royal Assent was pronounced, in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Le Roy le veult."

"2. An Act to enable George Bubb Esquire and his Issue Male to change their Surname to the Surname of Doddington."

"3. An Act for naturalizing Abraham Boeteseur."

To these Bills the Royal Assent was likewise severally pronounced, in the Words following; (videlicet,)

Then His Majesty was pleased to retire; and the Commons withdrew.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, to unrobe.

Annesley, Method of restoring him to Possession.

The Order of the Day being read, for the House to be put into a Committee of the whole House, to consider by what Methods the Order of this House, for the restoring Possession to Maurice Annesley Esquire of the Estate in Ireland, whereof he was dispossessed pending his Appeal in this House, may be most properly enforced and executed:

Ordered, That this House be To-morrow, peremptorily, the First Business, put into a Committee, to take the same Matter into Consideration; and that the Judges do then attend the Service of this House; and that the Lords be summoned.

Hamilton versus Darcy.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Darcy Hamilton Esquire; complaining of a Decree of the Court of Chancery in Ireland, made the Third Day of December 1714, in a Cause wherein Hyacinthus Darcy Esquire was Plaintiff, and the Appellant and others Defendants; and also of an Order of the said Court, made the 19th of May 1716, on hearing the Cause on the Master's Report; and praying, "That the said Decree and Order may be reversed:" As also upon the Answer of the said Hyacinthus Darcy put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration of what was offered on either Side in this Cause:

Decree varied.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Decree, of the 3d of December 1714, be, and is hereby, affirmed; with the Variation and Addition following; (videlicet,) "After the Words ["and also"], leave out ["a proportionable"], and insert ["an"]; and after the Words ["Allowance for the Money by them expended"], leave out the Word ["and"] before the Words ["all other necessary Charges since the Agreement in the Year 1686"]; and instead of the Word ["and"], insert ["in the Recovery of the said Debt of the Earl of Antrim, as also"]: And it is hereby further Ordered and Adjudged, That the said Order of the Court of Chancery, made on the Master's Report, be varied, and do stand in the Words following; videlicet, ["That the Rents and Profits received out of the Premises are, in the First Place, to be applied to discharge, first the Interest, and then the Principal, of the Five Hundred Pounds; and the Surplus of the same, over and above that Interest and Principal Sum of Five Hundred Pounds, to be applied to the Payment of the Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds, both Interest and Principal, to the Creditors of Patrick Darcy, or such as paid the Debts due to such Creditors; and such of the Defendants as received the Surplus Profits, if any, that should have been applied to satisfy the said Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds and the Interest thereof, are to be charged therewith, with Interest for the same; and when the said Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds, with the Interest as aforesaid, is paid, then the Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds is to be paid, with Interest for the same, from the Time the Interest was paid for the same; videlicet, from the 1st of May, 1689:" And it is hereby referred back to Edward Lyndon Esquire, One of the Masters of the said Court, to state the Accompt between the Plaintiff and Defendants accordingly.

D. Kent's Bill.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Henry Duke of Kent, and Anthony Grey Esquire, commonly called Earl of Harrold, to make Jointures for the Wife or Wives of the said Earl of Harrold; and for other Purposes therein mentioned," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and found the Allegations thereof to be true; and that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had made several Amendments to the Bill."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Ordered, That the said Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.

Adjourn.
