Prince of Wales to take the Oaths as Chancellor of Dublin, Bill.
The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable his Royal Highness George Prince of Wales to qualify himself in Great Britain for the legal Enjoyment of the Office of Chancellor of the University of Dublin, in the Kingdom of Ireland," was committed: "That they had gone through the Bill, and made some Amendments thereunto."
Which, being read Twice, were agreed to.
Ordered, That the said Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.
E. of Burlington's Bill.
Also, the Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Richard Earl of Burlington and Cork to take in England the Oath of Office of High Treasurer of Ireland, and to qualify himself here in England for the legal Enjoyment of the said Office," was committed: "That they had gone through the Bill; and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."
Colchester Woollen Manufacture, Bill:
Whereas this Day was appointed, for the House to be in a Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for giving Liberty to Persons who have served their Apprenticeships to any Part of the Woollen Manufacture in Colchester, to work at their said Trades, and at the making Baize, within the said Town:"
It is Ordered, That this House shall be put into a Committee upon the said Bill, on Thursday next.
Governours Dutch Bay Hall to be heard.
Upon reading the Petition of the Governors of the Dutch Bay Hall, in the Borough of Colchester, in the County of Essex; praying to be heard, by Counsel, against the said Bill, before the same do pass:
It is Ordered, That the Petitioners may be heard, by their Counsel, before the Committee of the whole House, to whom the said Bill stands committed.
Lacy and Boughton to attend, about the Arrest of Davis, Lord Fitzwalter's Servant.
Whereas this Day was appointed, for the Attendance of Gilbert Lacy, Plaintiff in the Arrest of George Davis, menial Servant to the Lord Fitzwalter, and John Boughton an Attorney:
It is Ordered, That the said Gilbert Lacy and John Boughton do attend this House To-morrow, to answer the Complaint of the said Lord Fitzwalter, touching the said Arrest.
Septennial Parliaments, Bill.
The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee of the whole House upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Time of Continuance of Parliaments appointed by an Act made in the Sixth Year of the Reign of King William and Queen Mary, intituled, An Act for the frequent meeting and calling of Parliaments."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Delawar reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill, and made One Amendment thereunto; which he was ready to report, when the House will please to receive the same."
Ordered, That the said Report be received Tomorrow; and all the Lords to be summoned.
Adjourn.
